MacGregor, which was first in producing sets of steel shafted clubs, made the first steel Jones offering in 1930. These woods date from only a little after that
based on head shape and the 5 screw keystone insert first sold in the late 1920's. The woods have been refinished quite well and each has a nearly perfect crown.
The 2 wood likely has some of the back shaven off as it is slightly narrower than the 3 from face to backweight. The shafts appear original with the 2 and 3 sheathed.
The shafts are in fine condition with only slight wear. Replaced whipping is older linen type representative of the period. Quite remarkable leather wrap grips are most
likely original - driver 13 1/2" and others 13". Driver with whipped collar and plain endcap, likely a replacement(cap). 2W with whipped collar and numbered endcap.
3W with plastic collar and numbered endcap. Driver and 2W both 43"; 3W 42". Definitely a playable set of old timers.
