Very nice 1984 model of Spalding TPM 12. TP was a long time putter designer that began his trade in the mid 60's with hand made forgings. Many of his putters have won major PGA tournaments including the Masters and US Open. He also built putters for golfer US presidents for many years. Interestingly, his designs were always 'sold' and not given to pros for endorsements, including Arnold Palmer, in his heyday. TP had a long term relationship with Spalding and created many models over those years. Some heads are blackened, others painted and most show lots of edgewear over a few years and require a headcover for finish protection. This head has been recoated to fine condition and has a flawless, fluted, skinny in-hosel shaft with excellent chrome sparkle. Note the small radius sole curvature and centerlines, which in TP model putters, including Spalding models, is the true centerline. Replaced near-new Golf Pride Pride Special pistol grip. Comes with red putter headcover. 35".
