Ready for play! Great set of late 1930's - early 1940 Spalding S/N matched transition irons. Note the advertisement where Jones is sitting beside the dual length irons - his remark is '... by introducing the brand new idea of matching in pairs as to length and lie! This means that you need master only one stance for every two clubs'. This was the basis for the simpletonsgolf.com design of using two matched lengths to simplify the number of player setups.

Irons with very good heads with the 8 and 9 showing some sole abrasion and the 9 with some face wear on bottom. Perfect ferrules with red rings. Spectacular sheathed shafts showing the matching serial numbers - no breaks or chips in the sheathing - only some minor hairline stress showing just above ferrules. Very fine 'long' Jones Form Grips with only the 6 iron having the seam twisted counterwise (but fully intact). Excellent matching putter. If you enjoy playing with older classic models, you will love these.
