Walter Hagen Model 66 Haig Ultra laminated 1,3,4,5 woods, Scotland shafts

Golfengineering ID: ucwd5469
Vintage: Mid 1970's
Gender-Dexterity: Right handed
Lifecycle: used
Shaft type: steel

Serial number matched. Heads good, particularly faces. Very fine steel shafts showing excellent chrome sparkle with black Regular flex bands; large shaftband on each says "Wilson Steel Shaft - Made in Scotland"; smaller bands say "Hagen H09H 12809". Each original rubber grip has Hagen shield on top and butt, note "Walter Hagen; circling grip near butt; grips still soft enough to play but showing signs of age hardening; driver has 1/8" slit in bottom of grip at shaft. Note the driver '1200' insert vs 'WH' shield on fairway woods - my guess is these were assembled in UK where the 1200 line appears with greater regularity and demand than stateside. Heads, mostly at edges have been lihgtly swabbed with lacquer.
Individual head descriptions:
1 W - small poly break above "I" on crown decal, hardly noticeable small chip on crown at toe, 1/2" closed split in whipping cover on backside.
3 W - 3 small razor scratches on crown near back edge.
4 W - couple touched up spots on sole around soleplate
5 W - near-fine condition.
