Loy-Mac Silver Special, wood/brass combo flanged blade putter, New Zealand

Golfengineering ID: ucput5108
Vintage: Late 1960's
Gender-Dexterity: men's right handed
Lifecycle: used
Shaft type: Unstepped steel

Cool looking wood grain head with inset brass weights. Like-new unstepped True Temper steel shaft and very good pistol-like rubber grip with top and sides square. My guess is this was a New Zealand design re-sold in the USA, based on the endcap which reads "Mel Lewis - Loy Mac California" One thing is for sure, the face is very soft being wood so it goes well with the extra-hard golf balls of today. Note the similar hosel shape to the english made Fulwider's. 35 1/2".
