Auto anti-freeze hydrometer, vintage 1950. Great utility for a repair shop since it appears all known anti-freeze additives are listed. 18" high. Good condition with shop wear and great bulb with no deformation. Bulb is age hardened. Box lid is separate due to hinge point wear. What really makes this interesting is the list of vehicles that disappeared from the list within a few years after this particular instrument was made including the Crosley, Frazer, Hudson, Kaiser, La Salle (Cadillac), Packard, Studebaker and Willy's (jeep). Really cool! Instrument can be disassembled by hand fairly easily.
