Good condition heel shaft aluminum mallet with brass soleplate. Neat square faced design. Steel shaft completely age blackened. Remnant of decorative whipping just above hosel. 14" leather wrap grip worn but completely intact with no whipping at collar; wood plug in butt end very good. Spalding was one of the earliest experimenters with steel shafts to replace hickory around 1915; this putter is from that early steel era. 35" length.
